Free Session - March 22nd

Creative Momentum & Finishing Songs
A free 90-minute online session

Most songwriters know the feeling: a strong idea appears, excitement is high, and then somewhere along the way the song slowly loses energy. Sketches pile up. Choruses remain unfinished. Promising drafts never quite become real songs.

In this free 90-minute session, we’ll explore the often overlooked craft of maintaining creative momentum — and the practical mindset shifts that help songs reach the finish line.

Drawing on my own experience as a professional songwriter, producer and teacher, I will lead an open and reflective session focused on the psychological and artistic phases of the songwriting process. Together, we’ll look at why songs tend to stall after the initial spark, how to navigate the in-between and what concrete working methods can help transform fragments into finished pieces of music.

The session will be mostly discussion and conversation where I want to hear about your experiences and see what insights we can gather from those and then I’ll sprinkle in some real-life insights from my own writing practice as well. It is designed for singers and songwriters who want to write more consistently, complete more songs, and develop a more sustainable creative workflow.

Whether you are currently full of ideas or feeling creatively stuck, this session will offer new perspectives on how to move forward — and how to keep moving until the song is done.

No preparation is required.

Free admission. Limited places.
